Pro tip: different front and rear pressures? When deflating, take all four to the higher target, disconnect the pair that stays higher, then lower the other pair. When inflating, take all four to the lower target, disconnect the pair that stays lower, then raise the other pair.

I recently picked up the Big Red Gear 12V Portable Air Compressor QUAD-FLATE Kit at a great promotional price, and it has been a game-changer. I previously used the Adventure Kings compressor, but I always found checking the tire pressure to be a bit of a hassle.
While Big Red Gear is slightly more expensive than Kings, the jump in build quality and ease of use is well worth the extra cost. The standout feature is definitely the Quad-Flate kit. Being able to equalize and inflate all four tires simultaneously is an absolute dream and saves so much time on the trail. If you're looking for a high-quality, reliable, and convenient air solution, this is it!
Only done a test run, inflate 4 tyres x 5 psi took 0:55 sec so to inflate from 20psi to 45psi probs 4:35 pretty happy with that, also not that noisy you would of had to walk away.

The quad deflator is amazing easy to use and works fast, the compressor inflates quickly and is pretty accurate to actual pressures. I have used it a dozen times now. Bloody good gear!
The Big Red twin air compressor is an impressive product. Inflation of all four tyres today from 10psi back to 37psi was quick and easy; no kneeling in awkward positions sweating in the sun checking pressures four or five times per tyre, just set and forget and the Big Red does it all. I used it to check the pressure in the tyres on three tractors and the portability of the Big Red makes this a breeze.
The compressor and the four tyre inflate/deflate hose kit is great value for money and with free, fast shipping I think it’s the best product I’ve purchased in ages. Even Orange Dog approves.

Rocked up quickly before camping trip and tested it out as we exited the best beaches here in WA. Pumped up 4 x 33s quickly and my mate was still on 1 tyre one hose. Left him in my dust and finished a pint down the pub before he rocked up.

I’m yet to use my new setup, however the quality looks first class and I like the application of the deflator and inflation of all 4 tyres at the same time.
I've had a couple of smaller compressors but they are slow, work so hard and get so hot. I decided the it was time to get a compressor capable of inflating the tyres quickly, with no fuss and giving me the flexibility to inflate all four at once. Faster stops. The Big Red is just brilliant, fast, efficient, not too much noise. Makes the job look easy and fast. The pack I got has the option of a single tyre or 4 at once if needed. Getting the extra tubes now is easier than chasing later. Hoses are generously long and the fittings look to be of good quality and durable. My order was processed fast and delivered even faster. I have tested the compressor at home and found it to be easy to use and extremely efficient to deflate and inflate 4 tyres at a time. The pump didn't get hot or cut out. The test will be how long the compressor lasts, which l can't comment on, as yet.

The little play I had with it, to get use to it. It is fantastic the deflation is so easy and quick compared to one tyre at a time.
The compressor doing all 4 tyres at once and the preset PSI makes it so easy to air up.

Great pump perfect for what I use it for. I have a four wheel drive and caravan and use it to lower and inflate my tires on the Ute and caravan when I have to travel on dirt roads with corrugated surfaces love it.
Almost certainly. Each 7.75 m hose suits a wheelbase up to 4,500 mm, and most wagons and dual-cab utes sit around 2,800 to 3,300 mm.
Does it work straight out of the box?
Yes. The quick coupler that connects QUAD-FLATE to the compressor is in the box, along with a carry bag. You just need 2 × AAA batteries for the gauge.
Can I run it off my standard battery?
Yes. Clamp the 1.8 m lead straight onto the battery and keep the engine running while you air up. It draws up to 90 A, and a resettable 120 A breaker protects the circuit.
How long does it take?
4X4 Australia timed all four tyres from 20 to 40 PSI in 4:03, and back down from 40 to 20 PSI in 1:54, on 285/60R18s. Bigger tyres and lower starting pressures take longer.
Can I run different pressures front and rear?
Yes. When deflating, take all four to the higher target, disconnect the pair that stays higher, then lower the other pair. When inflating, take all four to the lower target, disconnect the pair that stays lower, then raise the other pair.
Will it overheat on a long beach day?
Aluminium heads and heatsinks shed heat, and a thermal cut-out stops it at 120°C, then resets once it cools below 60°C. In 4X4 Australia’s back-to-back testing the cut-out never kicked in.
Can I use it on a caravan, camper or trailer?
Yes, using the compressor’s own 7.75 m air hose. Auto pre-set is designed for tyres 30 inches and up, so use manual mode on smaller tyres.
