Yes. The twin-head compressor moves 300 L/min to a maximum of 150 PSI. 4X4 Australia took four 285/60R18 tyres from 20 to 40 PSI in 4:03 with the QUAD-FLATE Kit.
Do I need the engine running?
Clip the 1.8 m lead straight onto the battery and keep the engine running while you air up, so the alternator carries the load. It draws up to 90 A, and a resettable 120 A breaker is built in, so there is no inline fuse to fit.
Will it overheat on a long beach day?
Aluminium heads and heatsinks shed heat, and a thermal cut-out stops it at 120°C, then resets once it cools below 60°C. Airing up four tyres from 20 to 40 PSI is well inside a single run.
Will the QUAD-FLATE hoses reach my tyres?
Each side runs a 7.75 m hose with a T-junction, which covers wheelbases up to 4,500 mm with the compressor near the front. If your compressor is mounted at the back of a canopy, measure the run to the front tyres first.
Can I use QUAD-FLATE with a compressor I already own?
Yes. It connects with a standard quick coupler, and reviewers run it on other brands’ compressors. The hose kit is sold on its own under Tyre tools above.
